Negotiated Stopping – What is it?

Remember that irritating advert that claimed the product would “do what it says on the tin”?

The Oxford dictionary says that negotiate means “to try to reach an agreement or compromise by discussion”. So a thing that has been ‘negotiated’ is surely ‘an agreement or compromised reached by discussion’.

Leeds GATE's response to proposed injunctions

Readers of the Yorkshire Evening Post will have seen news last week that Councillor Jim McKenna has persuaded the council to use its legal department to pursue a blanket permanent injunction against unauthorised Gypsy and Traveller camps across three large districts of Leeds.

Community Health Educators Scheme 2011

Every year Leeds GATE runs a Community Health Educators Scheme in partnership with the Healthy Living Network Leeds. Over 6 weeks Gypsy and Irish Traveller women meet every Friday and participate in cooking healthy recipes and take part in other health related activities such as martial arts and keep fit. Please take a look at our short video that was filmed at one of the sessions in 2011.
