Hello…. My name is Jo, I am a student Social Worker from the University of Leeds. I have been here for 2 weeks and the time has passed really quickly (time flies when you’re having fun!). I have had the pleasure of meeting a number of members from the community and everyone has been very welcoming and helped me to start to settle in to this placement with ease.

All staff at Leeds GATE are friendly, helpful, very skilled and knowledgeable in the job that they do; nothing is too much for them and they are always willing to answer all of my many questions. I will undoubtedly learn a great deal from this placement and intend to make the most of learning from all of the staff team.

Leeds GATE are pleased to welcome our new student placement Joanne, who joined our team last week.  Jo will mainly be working alongside Ben and Tove carrying out advocacy tasks though will also get involved in other events and projects this summer.  Jo is here for a few months and is looking forward to learning about GATE and supporting the work we do.   Some of you have already met Jo and we hope that everyone can help welcome her to GATE and make sure she has a worthwhile placement.
