Advocacy
Our advocacy services are here to support Gypsy and Traveller people get their voices heard.

I really do feel that you have helped my family a lot. You have helped my daughter who has been suffering and I don’t like to see her struggling with mental health and accommodation. I feel a lot better and I have seen a big change in her.

What is an advocate
Our advocacy staff are skilled and highly trained in lots of areas that we apply to each individual. If you come in for an appointment, they will:
- Listen to you about the challenge you are facing
- Explain and read information
- Guide you through the options open to you
- Make a plan on what you want to do
- Can signpost and refer to further help if needed
We offer support across West Yorkshire with advocates in Leeds, Bradford, Wakefield and Calderdale, as well as community and roadside outreach.
