Leeds GATE has a blended staff team with staff members both from Gypsy and Traveller communities and not. To make this a reality, we will sometimes follow slightly different recruitment processes to ensure our job roles are fully accessible to all candidates.

As our IDVA, you will provide specialist, culturally informed and trauma-informed support to Gypsy and Traveller community members experiencing domestic abuse across West Yorkshire supporting safety and recovery and advocating for our members.
As our Admin Coordinator, you will support the smooth running of the organisation, providing high quality admin support and ensuring an excellent offer for our members and staff.
A brand new and exciting role for the organisation as part of our five year flagship National Lottery funded project, Designed By Us.

Kathleen’s story is part of our exhibition Dreams and Songs to Sing, now open and free to all at Cartwright Hall Gallery, Lister park Bradford.
As a part of our Gypsy, Roma, Traveller History Month celebrations this year, some of our young people wrote short stories to be shared at our Community Celebration and exhibited. We asked all writers to share something celebratory about Gypsy and Traveller culture, and what it means to them.
