Chair – I’m Elizabeth I’m the chair of the board at Leeds GATE. I’m also a community member. I’ve been on the board for over 10 years and I’m in my 3rd term as chair. I’m a busy mam and granny but Leeds GATE gives me chance to try and make a difference for my community.

Ryan Powell
Ryan Powell is Professor of Urban Studies in the School of Geography and Planning at the University of Sheffield, where he researches and teaches on urban and housing inequalities. He has collaborated with Leeds GATE since 2006 and joined as a Trustee in June 2024. He is proud to support Leeds GATE’s anti-racist work and mission of improving quality of life and access to adequate site accommodation, education and health for Gypsies and Travellers.
