Professionals
We work closely with professionals across housing, health, education, social care, and other services for Gypsy and Traveller communities across West Yorkshire and sometimes beyond. Partnerships that truly share power are how we were founded, and vital to how we work to this day.

Working in partnership
Partner relationships are built on trust and equality. We value people who stick around and take the time to get to know us and our members and how we work best together. That’s how we think the best work gets done.
Working with us means partnering with:
– An award-winning community organisation with over 20 years of history and experience
– Experts in inclusion, accessibility and equity
– An organisation rooted locally, delivering regionally and with a strong voice nationally
Partnerships can look very different depending on the people and the outcomes.
We look for organisations and people with strong connection to our vision and values, who’s work links to our main areas of work and with connections to the region and our members, or the commitment to build them over time.
Examples of impactful partnership work we’ve undertaken in recent years:
Co-designed and community led research projects
– Realities Checked: Experiences of Crime and Justice in Gypsy and Traveller communities – 3 year research project – pull through from research page with image? Learn more (link to this research)
– Narrow Margins – 2-year Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) funded research project with Birmingham City University investigating the steady criminalisation of trespass and its impact upon marginalised communities in England.
Projects run with us that directly benefits our members on key issues that matter most
– Solidarity Network/HCT
–Â Spin Arts

Funders
Over the last 20 years, we have built strong relationships with an array of funding bodies that support our work with our members, with a number of them pledging financial support for many years. We thank them for their ongoing commitment to Gypsy and Traveller people across West Yorkshire.
