Facilitator needed for Reimagine Project | Leeds Gypsy and Traveller Exchange and London Gypsies and Travellers
Leeds GATE and London Gypsies and Travellers are seeking a facilitator for an important and in depth piece of work. Reimagine is a three year learning project hosted by London Gypsies and Travellers and Leeds Gypsy and Traveller Exchange. It is funded by Joseph Rowntree Charitable Trust.
This project addresses the deep-rooted injustices faced by Romany Gypsies, Irish Travellers, and other travelling communities in the UK. These communities are among the oldest ethnic minorities in the country, yet they continue to face systemic racism, forced displacement, and cultural suppression reinforced by state policies and discriminatory laws.
The project seeks to reframe how we engage in policy work, focusing on the lived experiences of these communities and drawing on trauma-informed practices.
We are seeking a facilitator/s for 9 sessions over 12 months to work with lived experience leaders. We need a facilitator who is organised, self-reflective, warm and with a good understanding of power, race and intersectionality.
Please download the brief to see further details and how to respond. This opportunity closes on 2nd April at 9am.
